It is a well-known fact that most of our issues – whether physical, psychological, financial, relational or spiritual – originate in our resistance to what is.
Acceptance of what is, is the antidote for resistance.
We all want to be accepted as we are, but we are often not willing to accept others as they are – we are not even willing to accept ourselves as we are.
We want some one from outside to assure us that we are fine as we are. We keep looking for this assurance, validation and acceptance – and when we don’t receive it, we reject or resist others all the more. This becomes a vicious cycle.
The solution lies in self-acceptance.
Learning to accept ourselves as we are, brings us face to face with all our points of resistance. And as we let go of that resistance, our life becomes more free-flowing.
The more we accept ourselves; the more we accept others.
Right now, I am busy offering acceptance to my left shoulder which is frozen and my left arm which is experiencing constant pain.
