The company promised late last month to officially present its newest tablet and as per the promise, Asus took the wrappers off ZenPad 3S 10 in an event in Taiwan on Tuesday. The tablet will be available in the company’s home market from August 1. The price tag attached to the device says ‘TWD 11,000’, which when converted according to current exchange rates becomes $342 or €309.
The company states that the device is pretty high-end, and with that sort of price tag, it has to be! Asus ZenPad 3S 10 features a massive screen of 9.7 inch that comes with the resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4:3.
The device has been powered by Mediatek’s MT8176 SoC, in which the hexa core CPU has been coupled with two Cortex-A72 cores (clocked at 2 GHz) and four Cortex-A53 cores (clocked at 1.6 GHz). As far as GPU is concerned, it is the Power VR GX6250, which has been clocked at 600 MHz.
Asus ZenPad 3S measures 240.5×163.7×5.8-7.16 mm and the weight of the device is just 430 grams. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow beneath the Asus ZenUI. The tablet comes with a powerful 5000 mAh battery, a USB Type-C port, a Selfie shooter of 5MP and a rear shooter of 8MP. The device sports a RAM of 4GB and expandable storage of 32GB.
