In any conflict (whether within a family, at work place, or between nations), every party carries a part of the responsibility in the creation of the conflict. And every party has some vested interest in keeping the conflict alive (only the percentage might vary).
If the conflict has to be resolved (and the involved parties are interested in resolving it), each person needs to own the responsibility of their own part in it.
Most conflicts don’t find resolution, because most people don’t have enough guts/ courage to shoulder self-responsibility. It is so much easier to stay in blame-game/ status quo/ victimhood/ judgement.
A society/ family which cannot honour its individuals (for whatever reasons) encourages victimhood/ blame-game/ pity-party – and conflicts.
