At the 2016 Auto Expo, Fiat India proudly introduced its all new Linea 125S with a price tag of Rs 7.82 Lakh. This 125S variant is quite similar to the standard Linea, but features a power upgrade to 125ps (123 bhp). This launch has been an open setback for Hyundai Verna, as now 125 S variant tops the list of most powerful petrol cars in C-segment sedan space.
Other than Linea, Fiat has also upgraded Avventura and Punto Evo by adding a few new features to both the cars.
The Linea 125 S features the same 1.4-litre T-jet petrol engine, which can be seen in the standard Linea petrol, the only difference is the 11 hp boost. Coming to Fiat Linea 125 S interiors, the infotainment system in the cabin is now 5-inch with a touchscreen. The system has rear view camera capability, AUX plus USB connectivity, Bluetooth as well as Map my India navigation. Other additional Linea 125 S features include dual-stage drive airbags, rear disc brakes and ambient lightening.
Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Automotive India stated, “Fiat cars are known for their performance and by adding more horsepower to our model range we are only living up to our brand promise ‘Crafted for Car Lovers’. Besides that we do make great-looking cars.”
Going further, the Avventura and Punto Evo have now been categorized as ‘Power Tech’. Both will be existing in all three trims namely, Emotion, Dynamic and Active. On the top of it, the 90 bhp iteration of the 1.3-litre diesel engine has been introduced in all the variants of both the models. The 5-inch Infotainment system similar to Linea 125S will be available in the Avventura as well as Punto Evo. As now both the models are a part of ‘PowerTech series’ the price for Punto Evo begins at Rs 6.81 lakh and for the Avventura at Rs 7.87 lakh.
