One of my favorite sentences is, “Be kind to yourself.”

When negativity surfaces, when lack hounds, when you feel attacked, when you feel hopeless/ helpless/ powerless/ stuck/ inadequate, when you are about to buy into guilt/ shame for not being “enough” (good/ kind/ holy/ thin/ successful/ rich/ gorgeous enough), just offer kindness to yourself.

Be kind to yourself

It is as simple as saying, “I intend to be kind to myself.”

When you begin offering kindness to yourself, you will begin being naturally kind to others.
