Finally, Samsung announced the date for the release of its subsequent Phablet flagship, Galaxy Note 7 (successor to Galaxy Note 5). On August 2 , the company has planned to take the wrappers off the all new Note-series Smartphone.
On August 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled in an event, which will start at 8:30 pm IST in New York. The company plans to host similar events in London as well as Rio de Janeiro. The official teaser is now available for the users to have a look at. The company also stated that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be coming with added functionalities and the all new S pen.
The reason that company gave behind the direct jump to ‘Galaxy Note 7’ while skipping the name ‘Galaxy Note 6’ is available in the announcement post that says, “First and foremost though, you might be curious as to why it’s called Galaxy Note 7 instead of Galaxy Note 6. There are a couple reasons why. First, the Galaxy Note 7 will complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and unify our product portfolio. Second, the Galaxy Note 7 will minimize confusion about the latest mobile technology from Samsung, and provide full alignment with Galaxy S Smartphone.”
Still not confirmed, but based on the rumours, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 might come with a front iris scanner featuring biometric lock, which is undoubtedly considered to be more reliable in comparison to fingerprint scanner. The colours in which the device will come are expected to be Blue Coral, Silver titanium and Black Onyx.
As far as Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specifications are concerned, the device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based, revamped UI from Samsung. It is likely to feature a 6-inch QHD, Super AMOLED dual EDGE Display and a RAM of 4 GB. In case of in-built storage, the Phablet will be available in three variants 64GB/128GB/256GB, which can be expanded with the help of micro SD card.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rumoured to hold a powerful 3600 mAh battery and feature a rear camera of 12 MP and a front shooter of 5 MP.
