Samsung Galaxy S8 Might Surprise Users with OLED Display Featuring Screen-To-Body Ration Of 90 Percent

After the disappointment amongst the users of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung once again plans to win the hearts of the users with its imminent Galaxy S8. This time, the company definitely wants its loyalists to enjoy some of the most remarkable upgrades in its new launch that has been scheduled in February. The latest leak reveals that the handset is likely to sport a little or no bezel design with an OLED display.

Users can look forward to an edge-to-edge display with a screen-to-body ration of almost 90 percent. The metal body will be acquiring just the 10 percent of the device whereas rest of the 90 percent will be taken by the OLED display. It has been said in the reports, “Samsung Display would roll out a full-screen display whose display area ratio (a scale that measures space taken up by a display on the front part of a handset) reaches more than 90 percent next year”.

According to the rumours, even Apple is looking forward to inculcate OLED panels in iPhone 8. The display featured in Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumoured to carry dual-curved edges. Even the home button is expected to be eliminated as the presence of optical fingerprint sensor will facilitate print reading on the display. The device is expected to have a 5.5 inch $K display featuring a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and 860ppi pixel density. The handset is tipped to be powered by Exynos 8895 SoC which has been coupled with RAM of 6GB. Users can also expect a dual rear camera set-up featuring 8MP and 16MP cameras.
