#1. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam: In this movie, Aishwarya was casted opposite Salman Khan and Ajay Devgun. Here Aishwarya plays the role of a music teacher’s daughter. She somehow gets emotionally involved with her father’s student (Salman Khan) and her father does not approve on this relationship. She is forced to marry a boy (Ajay Devgun), who developed a liking for her after seeing her at her cousin’s wedding. The movie takes turn when her husband comes to know that she loves another man. It is for this movie that Aishwarya received Filmfare Award for Best Actress and Star Screen award for Best Actress.

#2. Devdas:  The next in line is Devdas, in which she acted opposite to Shahrukh Khan. She plays the role of Paro aka Parvati, who is madly in love with Devdas (Shahrukh).  Devdas’s mother doesn’t approve of this relationship and insults Paro as well as Paro’s mother. The story takes the turn when Paro is forced to marry a middle-aged widowed aristocrat who is also a father to three grown children.

#3. Dhoom 2: Then we have Dhoom 2, wherein Aishwarya plays the role of an attractive thief, who is on a mission guided by Assistant Commissioner (Abhishek Bachchan). The whole game plan is to trap the master thief (Hrithik Roshan). Some of the highlights that contributed to the immense popularity on the movie were scenes of fast bikes in action and a Hrithik-Ash kissing scene. The movie also features some other stars such as Rimi Sen, Bipasha Basu and Uday Chopra.

Both meet and fell in love with each other. Now the twist comes when the father of the guy, being a very rich personality disapproves of his son marrying a singer’s daughter. The movie also features Anil Kapoor who plays the role of a successful music director.

#5. Mohabbatein:  Once again Aishwarya Rai proves her brilliance in acting through this romantic movie. Here, she is playing the role of the daughter of Gurukul’s Head (Amitabh Bachchan). She falls in love with a boy (Shahrukh Khan) studying at Gurukul. The Gurukul’s Head expels the boy when he comes to know about this fact. Aish commits suicide after finding this out. This is the first movie where two super heroes- Shahrukh and Amitabh can be seen sharing the screen.

#6. Guru: The movie is based on Dhirubhai Ambani’s life story. Abhishek Bachchan performs the role of the great icon and Aishwarya Rai acts as his wife.
